The HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation training course is designed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the lifesaving techniques of CPR for adults and infants. The course also covers the use of a defibrillator (AED) and is nationally recognized VET qualification. This course is suitable for individuals who require a CPR qualification for their workplace or job. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that can lead to death. With urgent medical care to restart the heart, survival is possible.
Quick decision making is required to recognise and assess a cardiac emergency, call for medical assistance and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures which will increase the chance of survival for a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally.
In this CPR course, you will learn these skills, in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, including using an automated external defibrillator (AED), how to rotate first aiders with minimal interruptions to compressions, and what to do if the casualty regurgitates or vomits.
The course also covers conveying accurate incident details when handing the casualty over to emergency services, how to review an incident, to recognise any psychological impacts on self and other rescuers, to seek help if required and for improvement of own personal skills and response times.

Description: The course includes strategies and information needed to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It is an ideal course for people who wish to be able to deliver life-saving CPR whenever and wherever needed.
You will learn and experience the strategies through the latest state-of-the-art QCPR real-time feedback manikins. The curriculum also involves a DRSABCD action plan. The learning strategies here will help you in handling emergencies and managing unconscious casualties.
You will gain knowledge about the procedure of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the help of a defibrillator (AED) which will boost your confidence and help you in dealing with any emergency situation.
What Is Included: The course fee includes training in CPR along with physical resources and a statement of attainment.
Course Duration: 1 hr online learning + 2 hrs face to face

Perth Location: $790, which includes up to ten (10) participants. Additional participants can be added at the cost of $79 per participant.
Broome Location: $850, which includes up to ten (10) participants. Additional participants can be added at the cost of $85 per participant.
