HLTAID011 Provide First Aid – Two day (non-online) course

This unit provides the knowledge and real-time experience required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid in almost any situation. It is delivered face-to-face with no online requirements.

Participants who complete this HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course will meet the minimum first aid requirements in most industries.

What does this course teach you?

This course will teach you the knowledge, and techniques needed to

  • Perform CPR
  • Recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies
  • Provide first aid to victims in a variety of situations.

Course Duration: 

Our HLTAID011 two-day courses run 5 – 6 hours per day. The first day consists of the theory section (including the multi-choice written theory test), followed by day two, which is the practical assessments.

During the training, participants will complete:

  • Hands-on (Practical demonstrations including scenario training)
  • Theoretical assessment

Training sessions led by key industry experts and friendly first aid technicians with real-world experience. They will cover all requirements, knowledge, and practical training for first aid.

Course Fee Includes:

  •  Basic first aid kit and resuscitation mask to keep.

Course Fee: 

Our course fee is $1755*, which includes up to nine (9) participants. Additional participants can be added at the cost of $195 per participant. The price includes all the physical and educational resources required, plus your record of achievement and a basic first-aid kit to use during the course and keep after for your own personal use.

First Aid Course Requirements

Since our HLTAID011 First Aid course includes both knowledge and practical elements, participants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this course:

  • Learners will be required to provide their Unique Student Identification Number (USI) before the commencement of the course (usi.gov.au for registration).
  • Must be able to use literacy and math skills to read, interpret and apply instructions and protocols as needed. (e.g., Read and follow ARC instructions)
  • Must be physically able to perform at least 2 minutes of continuous CPR for one rescuer on a firm surface on the floor.
  • Learners need to wear comfortable attire like enclosed flat shoes, slacks, and loose-fitting shirts/t-shirts for males and females.

Support Services

This course requires a reasonable level of written and spoken English and good numeracy skills.

To successfully complete this course, you must be able to:

  • Give a clear verbal report of the incident
  • Understand oral or verbal instructions
  • Read and understand written instructions
  •  Write first aid reports

Certification

Upon completion of the course, you will be given a Statement of Achievement confirming that you have completed the training and demonstrated proficiency in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, including the content of :

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID010 – Provide fundamental emergency life support
  • HLTAID011 – Provide first aid.

Your First Aid Certificate is valid for a period of three years. The CPR course component is valid for 12 months and must be renewed annually for your certificate to remain valid.
